Resfeber. Noun. The restless race of the traveller's heart before the journey begins, when anxiety and anticipation are tangled together; wanderlust.
This word sums up pretty much what I am feeling as I tackle my long travel day. My day started off early at 5 AM making sure I had everything packed. Since then, I have been on the go with locating terminals, gates, and keeping up with bags. I am so fortunate that I have my friend Emily to travel with. We have been helping one another out and keeping one another company on this long travel day of ours.
So as of right now I am sitting in the Atlanta airport waiting for my 6:07 PM flight to Madrid to board. From Madrid it's one more short plane ride to Mallorca and then my adventure begins. I still have no idea who my host family will be or where I will be working but that's okay. All I know is that I am so very fortunate to experience life abroad for these six months and that I have my family to thank for being so supportive of my decision.
So the next time dear readers you will hear from me, I should be settling into a hotel room in Mallorca to start off my orientation week. So...Hasta luego! (Bye for now!)
